Daywise Itinerary

Day 1 : GUWAHATI-BHALUKPONG (225 Km 5 Hrs)

Welcome to Awesome Assam. Meet and be assisted by our representative at the airport/Railway station. Get ready to experience a memorable road trip for lifetime. Transfer to Bhalukpong. This place is an elephant reserve. It is an ideal habitat for a host of other animals including the tiger, leopard, sambar, dhole (the Asiatic wild dog), pygmy hog, Indian wild bison, clouded leopard, leopard cat,muntjac, gaur, wild boar, sloth bear, Himalayan black bear, capped langur and Indian giant squirrel. Nameri National Park is a birdwatchers paradise with over 300 species. The white winged wood duck, great pied hornbill, wreathed hornbill, rufous necked hornbill, black stork, ibisbill, blue-bearded bee-eaters, babblers, plovers and many other birds make Nameri National Park their home. Check in at your hotel. Natures walk to the Jia Bhoreli (Kameng River) and back. Evening you are free for leisure. Overnight stay at hotel. Sightseeing(s): Inner Line Permits

Day 2 : BALUKPONG - DIRANG (150 Km 4 - 5 Hrs)

After breakfast proceed to Dirang. On the way visit Orchid Research Centre Tipi, an orchidarium with about 10,000 orchids’ plants belonging to various genera and species. Arunachal has the largest range of orchids in the country. Continue your drive and do not forget to keep your cameras handy as you cross beautiful waterfalls and get some spectacular views. Enroute visit

Nag Mandir. Arrive and check in to your hotel. After lunch visit the regional apple Nursery, kiwi farm, and hot water spring, Sangti, Valley and Dzong Fort. Overnight stay in Dirang.

Day 3 : DIRANG - TAWANG (140 Km 6 Hrs)

After breakfast transfer to Tawang. Enroute visit war cemetery. Continue with the drive till you reach Sela Pass at an altitude of 4170 m / 13700 ft. It is famous for high altitude lakes & scenic beauty. Continue the drive to Jaswant Garh War Memorial a memorial of the brave Indian soldier Jaswant Singh Rawat. Visit Nuranang Falls (Jang Falls). Arrive and check in the hotel. Overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 4 : TAWANG SIGHTSEEING OR BUMLA PASS (CHINA BOARDER- MADHURI LAKE

After breakfast we have 2 options for the day. We can visit Bum La Pass (Indo-China Border) for which you will have to take permit from the DC office at Tawang on your own, Sangestar Lake (Madhuri Lake) and Pangateng Tso Lake (P.Tso Lake). Please Note you will also have to take a local taxi in Tawang on direct payment basis to cover these places as our vehicles are not allowed. OR you may visit Tawang Monastery (Namgey Lhatse), Singsor Ani Gompa, and Tawang War Memorial. Please Note It may not be possible to cover all the places in a day in case you visit Bumla Pass and Madhuri Lake. Evening return back to hotel. Overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 5 : TAWANG – RUPA (195 KM 7-8 HRS)

After Breakfast transfer to Rupa. Check in the hotel on arrival. Visit Bomdila Monastery, Bomdila View Point, Bomdila offers wonderful panoramic view of Himalayan landscapes and snow clad ranges. Evening you can visit the local market of Rupa. Overnight in Rupa.

Day 6 : RUPA – KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK (220 KM 6 Hrs)

After breakfast tansfer to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the One Horn Indian Rhinoceros. Check in at your resort. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Kaziranga National Park.

Day 7 : KAZIRANG NATIONAL

Early morning explore Kaziranga National Park on back of elephant. Apart from worlds endangered One Horn Indian Rhinoceros, the Park sustains half the world’s population of genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild elephants and perhaps the densest population of Royal Bengal Tiger anywhere. Kaziranga National Park is also a bird watchers paradise and home to some 500 species of Birds. The Crested Serpent Eagle, Pallas Fishing Eagle, Grey headed Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed goose, whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons and Pelicans are some of the species found here. We will return to the resort for breakfast. Afternoon we proceed for a jeep safari, visit Orchid park and also enjoy North-eastern cultural show at orchid park (If show is happening that time) Evening come back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Kaziranga National Park.

Day 8 : KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK - SHILLONG (280 Km 6 Hrs)

After breakfast drive to Shillong, also called Scotland of the East. Reach the majestic Umium Lake (Barapani). You may do the water sports here (if time permits). On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. Evening you can visit Police Bazaar which the biggest local market. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 9 : SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJI - SHILLONG (65 KM 1.5 Hrs One way)

Get up early today to enjoy the mesmerizing mornings of Shillong. After early breakfast drive to Cherrapunji, this is the wettest place in the world. Visit Eco Park (Wednesday Closed), Dainthlen Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls (Seven Sisters Fall Mawsmai Cave, Thangkharang Park (Wednesday Closed). Evening return to Shillong. Visit Elephanta Falls (Sunday Closed) a

Shillong Peak (Wednesday Closed) for some breathtaking views. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 10 : SHILLONG – DAWKI –MAWLYNNONG VILLAGE - (90 KM 2 Hrs One way)

After breakfast visit Mawlynnong Village the cleanest village in India. This cute and colorful little village is known for its cleanliness. It is situated 90 km. From Shillong and besides the picturesque village, offers many interesting sights such as the Living Root Bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Visit Dawki, It is along the Indo-Bangladesh border. You can enjoy boating in the crystal clear waters of the Umgnot River. Evening we will return back to Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.

Day 11 : SHILLONG – GUWAHATI DEPARTURE (100 KM 3 HRS)

After breakfast today proceed to Guwahati. Visit Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra a place where Assamese history and culture presented, you may also visit Dr. Bhupen Hazarika museum there to know the History of Assamese Cinema and his contribution. Visit GTAC Tea Lounge to enjoy cup of finest Assam Tea and also carry some Tea back home. Here you will find the finest quality of Organic, CTC, Orthodox, Green Tea, White Tea, Purple Tea etc. Evening you may take a River Cruise (if time permits, Direct Payment) on the mighty River Brahmaputra. You may also visit the local market. Assam is famous for Assam Silk particularly Golden Muga Silk, Assam Tea, Bamboo and Cane Product. Check in at hotel. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Day 12 : GUWAHATI DEPARTURE

After early breakfast visit Kamakhya Temple. In the afternoon we will drop you to Guwahati airport/railway station for onward journey with everlasting memories. Check out time 12:00 HRS
